Philadelphia cop killer nabbed in vacant building

May 8, 2008 at 2:06 pm (EDT)

The last Philadelphia Police Sergeant Steven LiczbinskiEric DeShawn Floyd, the last of three suspects believed to have killed Philadelphia Police Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, has been captured, then handcuffed with the handcuffs formerly belonging to Sgt. Liczbinski. Floyd is now resting, most hopefully, uncomfortably in a cell here in Philadelphia.

Like the typical, non-thinking, most likely illiterate criminal he was, Eric DeShawn Floyd was found hiding in a dilapidated, boarded-up house in Southwest Philadelphia, hiding like a trapped rat. At the time the police were tipped off to his location, Eric DeShawn Floyd was sound asleep on the floor of the vacant house with his girlfriend, who was also arrested, for aiding a fugitive. Her name has not yet been released by police, but both will be facing a long laundry list of charges. Continue Reading »

Gals of all ages get nipple pasties these days

April 27, 2008 at 10:19 am (EDT)

There’s an old saying that the more things change, the more they remain the same. This week, that lesson was learned once again.

A lady I know took a few days off work for personal stuff, such as her annual checkups. For guys, it’s pretty much a one-shot deal: bend-and-reach. Turn your head to the side and cough. Say ahhhh. Okay, you’re going to feel a little poke and pressure … whoa, doc! For women, though, it’s a little more complicated, I’m told. There’s the regular doctor, the “lower end” doctor, the “top end” doctor, and then some techs to help all the doctors, and possibly others, too, I guess, for people, and in this case, women, with other health conditions.

Obama didn’t care enough to stay in PA

April 23, 2008 at 9:17 am (EDT)

Last night’s glaring ending to the six-week Pennsylvania primary election was proof enough that Illinois Sen. Barack Hussein Obama never cared about Pennsylvania; intended his inflammatory comments as many around the country interpreted them; and just “wants to get on with the game” of the election.

Here in Philadelphia, as the two early night time local news shows were coming on at 10 p.m., on Fox 29 and well, you might as well call it the “practice run” for NBC 10, since they produce the news and do all the reporting for “the other 10 p.m. news”, it was evident Barack Obama was getting wiped off the ballot in Pennsylvania. He probably knew it early on, too, as he opted to head to Indiana for the day, instead of waiting here, in Pennsylvania, which is what the candidates traditionally do during the primaries.

Cafferty has it right: China makes junk and sends it here

April 20, 2008 at 12:22 pm (EDT)

A group of protestors, numbering somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000, and described as Chinese-Americans, decided to protest ’s Hollywood office yesterday, protesting CNN’s commentator Jack Cafferty, who made a comment on CNN’s , back on April 9 — almost two weeks ago. Among his comments that day, Cafferty apparently called China’s goods “junk” and its leaders a “bunch of goons and thugs.”

In protesting, the group sang Chinese songs, then broke into chants. The crowd would chant, according to several media reports, “Cafferty. Fire.” Very odd. I would think they’d opt for something like, “Fire Cafferty!”, but then again, the mentality of protestors demanding the firing of someone at a media outlet who was a columnist or commentator was never one I understood. But, Lake Wang, 39, told the he understands the concept of free speech — at least how it works for him and the group of protestors.
