Rocky Balboa’s alma mater needs money for sports

June 24th, 2007

Sylvester (”Rocky Balboa”) Stallone may be in a position to help his alma mater, the high school that was ready to give him the boot back in the late 60s. That same school, in 1981, awarded him an honorary diploma during the filming of Rocky III, but the footage was never used. While at the school, though, the on-screen boxer was a real-life member of the .

No deals for Bobbie Cutts, Jr.

June 23rd, 2007

jessie_davis The police officer, husband, and lover-in-the-shadows of the late Jessica (Jessie) Marie Davis has apparently confessed to the local cops and other investigators who have been looking for the pregnant, missing woman for more than a week.

Cutts has sworn all week long, including giving a crying fit for television camera almost fit for an Academy Award, that he had nothing to do with Jessica Davis’ disappearance.

Now, on CNN, Sharon Reed, of WOIO, a television station in Ohio, is reporting that Cutts made some kind of confession at his home to family and friends, then called the police and turned himself in.

After contacting authorities, the body of the late Jessica Davis was found in a shallow ditch.

For all his lies to authorities, and remember, they have interviewed him at least three times, there should be no leniency in prosecuting him. None. No deals at all. Oh, wait. Keep the death card off the table. Dying a humane death — and I don’t care about the whining people who argue that death-by-injection isn’t human — is not something fit for this lying, cheating scum bag.

It’s sad that Jessica Davis apparently saw something in Bobbie Cutts, Jr. that made her want to have an affair with him. In the end, she paid dearly for her sexual romps with Cutts: she is dead, as is the child that was about two-weeks from being born. That’s a tragic waste of life.

Bobbie Cutts, Jr., who confessed because he knew police and other law enforcement officials were pulling the strings tighter and tighter on his lies, confessed. Let the bastard rot in prison, in general population, for the rest of his natural life. That ought be fair punishment.

Hitting the DRM nail on the head

June 22nd, 2007

Many people I know jump up and down, listening to the bandwagon of anti-Microsoft advocates talk (or is that whine and moan?) about the “DRM” issues in Vista.

Let me clarify one point right now: I was involved in beta testing Windows Vista for about two years. I have installed, and have been running Windows Vista, since January 30, 2007. Early adopter? Yep. Do I like Vista? Yes, but at times, just like any other operating system, including the International Space Station’s, it can be a pain in the ass. Nothing in the world is flawless.

Why are music CD sales down?

June 15th, 2007

Do you tire, like me, of listening to “recording artists” and record companies and the Recording Industry Association of America (the loudest crybaby of all) whine about declining music sales? Are you tired of hearing that all of it is tied to “online music piracy” almost every time you turn on the TV news?

The Associated Press is reporting the autopsy on the body of body of U.S. Army Sgt. Lawrence G. Sprader, 25, found this past Tuesday night in a brushy area of Fort Hood, should he died of hyperthermia and dehydration.

A burglar breaks into your house tonight …

June 10th, 2007

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own borders, making it harder for some to sneak into this country and, once here, for those sneaks to stay in the U.S. indefinitely.

Windows Live Writer gets a beta overhaul

June 7th, 2007

Microsoft released its latest beta, version 1.0 (12.0.1183.516) of Windows Live Writer (WLW), on Monday, June 4, bringing with it a more Vista-like look, even for non-Vista users, I’ve been told by one user, Melody Quick, of TheHometownView.com, along with many other improvements under the hood, as well as on the front end, for the user.
