Gals of all ages get nipple pasties these days

April 27th, 2008

“This is our first full week of using the pasties during mammograms,” the X-ray tech explained. “I wake up with nightmares that I’ll forget to take one off of a 90-year-old nun one day and she’ll end up in the E.R. and they’ll find her with pasties and wonder what’s going on in the convent!”

Obama didn’t care enough to stay in PA

April 23rd, 2008

Last night’s glaring ending to the six-week Pennsylvania primary election was proof enough that Sen. Barack Hussein Obama never cared about Pennsylvania; intended his inflammatory comments as many around the country interpreted them; and just “wants to get on with the game” of the election.

Cafferty has it right: China makes junk and sends it here

April 20th, 2008

A group of protestors, numbering somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000, and described as Chinese-Americans, decided to protest CNN’s Hollywood office yesterday, protesting CNN’s commentator Jack Cafferty, who made a comment on CNN’s The Situation Room, back on April 9 — almost two weeks ago. Barack Obama’s campaign running scared in Philadelphia

April 15th, 2008

Obama is spending money left-and-right in his attempts to woo the voters in Pennsylvania. He’s running commercials that are seemingly accurate, but some of the truths — the realities — at the fringes of the ad are in question. Did the pharmaceutical industry really put wording in legislation that Medicare cannot negotiate for lower prices with manufacturers of medications? No.

It was politicians, just like Barack Obama — a senator — put together the wording, and later, after being approved by a committee, was sent to the Senate and House, for approval. If the wording bothered Sen. Barack Obama, why did the senator from Illinois not make a motion to change or delete the wording? It’s a common practice, as is another common practice of adding bills that alter other legislation onto popular bills being brought for vote. Barack Obama has had time to change the Medicare language about price negotiations he’s ranting about.

U.S. troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere

April 14th, 2008

April 8th, 2008

In the 1960s, most children and teenagers knew — or watched — one of the most popular cartoons of all time: The Flintstones, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Fred and Wilma Flintstone, a most unlikely of pairs, and their neighbors, Barney and Betty Rubble, often had laughs, but they had to content with real life, too, albeit in the cartoon era in the Town of Bedrock, where from worked atop a dinosaur’s back, hauling out loads of rock from Mr. Slate’s quarry.
