Prior to the 2008 U.S. Presidential election, CNN was a network that supported building a Texas-Mexico fence. Now, though, with President Barack Obama in office, CNN could care less, it seems, about the fence.

There are two stories on CNN this morning, Teen made $50,000 smuggling drugs across border and El Paso school a haven along violent border, both seemingly take a sympathetic eye to problems many Mexicans face.

Add race to the mix for Supreme Court justice pick

It’s sad, repulsive, underhanded, and even pathetic, that the “Congressional Hispanic Caucus” would send President Barack Obama – or any sitting U.S. President – a letter encouraging the president to select a specific type of person as candidate for the soon-to-be-open U.S. Supreme Court.

Since U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter has announced his retirement, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus wrote Obama to encourage him to consider a “qualified Hispanic legal professional” for the nation’s highest court.

‘Going postal’ takes new twist in bad economy

In the 1980s and 1990s, the term “going postal” described stressed postal workers who burst into postal facilities and gunned down customers and co-workers. The definition, though, seems to be changing in a bad economy.

Postal officials say a Michigan postal worker has confessed to swiping — and attempting to sell — about $20,000 worth of first-class postage stamps since last September.
