All evening, news outlets have been scrambling to update their sites, sending out “breaking news” alerts, and doing in-depth reporting on pop singer Michael Jackson.

Jackson reportedly suffered a heart attack around 5 p.m. Eastern time. By 6:30 p.m., the king of pop was dead at 50.

Farrah Fawcett, sex symbol from the ’70s, has died

Farrah Fawcett, the sex symbol from the 1970s, has died after a battle with cancer, her publicist said. She was 62.

Looking back at the 1970s, oh, around 1975 to 1979 or so, I fondly remember my pre-teen years when my hormones raged out of control.
