One year ago in October, the federal budget deficit was $156 billion. About 13 days ago, at the end of October, the federal budget deficit was $176 billion: that’s a whopping $20 billion dollar increase in the deficit.

What I want to know is this: Is this “the change”, as touted by Barack Hussein Obama while stomping in his presidential campaign, is this “the” change” you can believe in?

A better way to phrase this question is: Is this a question anyone can believe in?

It seems the beer good ol’ Barack Hussein Obama’s administration managed to ran the federal government with a $176 Billion deficit in October, the Treasury Department reported earlier today.

Other financials released by the Treasury Dept. included total receipts (incoming cash flows) of $135 billion, but total outlays (costs/expenses) were $311 billion.

The deficit was a little higher than a congressional estimate of $175 billion and marked the 13th consecutive monthly budget shortfall.

Bear in mind, the October numbers are the financial health reporting grades for the first month for the new fiscal year, which, sadly enough, began on October 1.

The 2009 fiscal year ended on September 30 with a record-high $1.4 trillion budget deficit, chiefly caused by increased government spending said to help stop the recession and end the financial crisis. The final deficit for the 2009 fiscal year was equal to 10 percent of the nation’s GDP, the highest shortfall relative to GDP since 1945, the final year of World War II.
