Cyber Monday 20% off Control III sale

December 1st, 2008

Keeping medical equipment clean, disinfected, and smelling fresh is easier than ever! Some people use Control III to clean household surfaces, such as food prep tops, sinks, bathroom sinks and tubs, and more!

Control III has been on the market since 1974, and since that time, it has come to be used in homecare and hospitals to control a wide spectrum of bacterial, viral and fungal diseases on surfaces. That same level of protection is now available for use on CPAP or BiPAP equipment in the home. It can be used to clean and disinfect nebulizers, masks, ventilators, CPAP or BiPAP tubing, humidification chambers, and more!

Black Friday now starts before and lasts long after Thanksgiving

November 26th, 2008

Well, it’s that time of year again: people are preparing to cook their turkeys (of the bird variety, not the boyfriend/husband variety), stuff themselves with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and other delicious edibles for Thanksgiving, only to try to drag themselves out of bed the next morning for that annual start of the Christmas season tradition: Black Friday.

Other cool deals are out there, as well, so look around before spending your hard-earned money with its decreasing value thanks to a bunch of Wall Street idiots who ought be sitting in prison.

Dr Pepper site crashes under Chinese Democracy giveaway visitor load

November 23rd, 2008

I went to the Dr Pepper site to see how it was holding up during the Chinese Democracy launch free Dr Pepper giveaway promotion has now been underway for just over 13½ hours. What did I find? That my thoughts of a server crash had panned out.

In my original post about the Dr Pepper free 20-ounce soda for all Americans because Guns N’ Roses’ album, Chinese Democracy has hit store shelves after 17 years in the making, I noted that planning by the Dr Pepper IT staff was a critical factor in this promotion.

‘Chinese Democracy’ earns free Dr Pepper to everyone in U.S.

November 21st, 2008

It seems Chinese Democracy is finally here — the album from Guns N’ Roses, not actually democracy in China — and if the band’s 17-year-in-the-making album hits store shelves on Sunday, “It’s going to be so easy, easy for every American to get a free Dr Pepper as promised,” said Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper’s vice president of marketing.

The soda company says it is ready to offer coupons for free Dr Pepper to every American if the on-again/off-again album is released on Sunday.

Sony delays release of LittleBigPlanet because Muslims may be offended

October 20th, 2008

Sony has decided it needed to delay the release of one of the hottest and eagerly-awaited computer games of the year because Muslims may be offended by something in the background music.

According to Sony, the game LittleBigPlanet has been pulled from warehouse shelves after someone noticed one background music contained words from the Islamic holy text, the Quran.

Time for WordPress plugin developers to take note of changes

August 8th, 2008

WordPress 2.6 is the current stable version of the popular blogging software, although WordPress 2.6.1 beta 1 is available for download and testing.

Like with all tech development, plans must be made ahead of time for changes, whether it’s for a new operating system, new kernel in Linux/Unix, or changes to online software, such as WordPress or even a Webmail interface. With development, though, comes testing, trials, and of course, changes. Yes, I said that ominous word that many simply hate: change.
