Running any Web site, blog, or other service, online or in the brick-and-mortar world costs money. The money, at least initially, come from the pockets of the person providing the service. Ultimately, though, the money will need to come from those who use the service, in one way or another.

There are many sites and blogs that use a variety of methods for raising money, such as donation buttons, advertising (including some that are not clearly marked), banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, and other things.

I’ve run my own site since the mid-90s, have had good success with using a variety of tools, such as links to books at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, a Wish List at Amazon, and Google Ads. People have used the various links I provided, which gave me incentive to keep the site running.

Do you want to help support Scoop’s Views? There’s a variety of way, and as I’ve said, they’re all fairly easy.

First, you can visit my Wish List at Amazon. You could buy books through the links in the side columns, you could click the Google Ads on the site, or you could make a donation to the site, and help with the costs.
