Our nation is a bunch of whiners– sadly calling them out gets you in trouble– because the whiners, well, they start whining!

I absolutely agree. As a nation, we’ve forgotten what it means to “work” for a day’s wages, and that “accidents” happen in life. Too many people want to whine and sue everyone for everything at the drop of a hat.

Sadly, welfare programs that have supported generations of people — since the 1930s — as well as other handouts in recent years, has produced a nation that’s fallen on its face.

Looking around today, there are illegal immigrants that believe they ought be citizens because they managed to successfully break into the United States, at least once, if not more times than that. There are people who believe we ought produce election ballots in 197 different languages, thereby ensuring “everyone” can read a ballot when they go to elect someone to office in the United States. Those same people often demand that government agencies have people to speak their native language — as well as dialect — when they call for government services.

This isn’t the America I grew up in. This is a sad imitation of something that used to be the United States.

All in all, though, Edward, and you may well agree, this is still — still, even with all the problems — the best country on the face of the Earth. We just have our problems.

To solve those problems, though, is going to take someone — a committed president with a strong backbone, as well as similar elected officials, all the way from Congress to the local governmental bodies — to stand up and do what’s right. These elected leaders — if committed, strong, backboned-leaders with their eyes focused on the country, not on special interest groups or political correctness garbage — then need to re-focus many things in this country to help get it back on course: such as putting money into public schools, getting more cops back on the streets, and not rewarding corporations with tax incentives and tax breaks when they decide to become off-shore corporations or foreign corporations.
