That’s where I’m parking my black Lexus!

October 9, 2006 at 1:03 pm (EDT)

If you live in Great Britain, supposedly the results of survey, very scientific, I’m sure, conducted by colormatters.com, says the color of your car speaks volumes about your personality, driving habits, and should possibly have an impact on your auto insurance.

Okay, hand me the noose and bring the bloody blokes behind this survey to me in the staging area.  I will drive partway there in my black Lexus, then park it at a Park-and-Hide. I will do the next leg of the trip in my silver Mercury Cougar, and the third leg of the trip to the public hanging in my green 1990 Yugo.

Ranking those dangerous auto colors

According to colormatters.com, the vehicle colors, from most dangerous to least dangerous, are:

Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who’s an outsider or rebel.
Silver cars indicate someone who’s cool, calm and slightly aloof.
Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.
Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.
Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.
Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.
Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who think, move and talk quickly.
Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.
White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.
Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.

As I said, colormatters.com.com says the results are valid in the UK. I suppose since the results aren’t valid here in the U.S., it’s one more reason to be happy I am an American living in America.
