Are Barack’s people behind this?

March 7, 2008 at 7:21 am (EST)

Here’s a hat tip to my good friend, DA66, who sends me a lot of humorous stuff, but also some stuff that cracks me up to no end.

In thinking back over the past few days of "presidential campaigning," I recall Barack Obama saying it’s time for him to turn up the heat and really dish out the nasties on his opponent, Hillary Clinton. I wonder if Barack’s people are behind this ditty sent to me by DA66, who could be one of my people, but I just can’t afford to hire him.

Hillary Clinton and her driver were cruising home along a country road one evening when an ancient cow loomed in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn’t. The aged cow was struck and killed. Hillary told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened and pay them for the cow. She stayed in the car making phone calls.

About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, a huge Cuban cigar in the other, and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.

"What happened to you," asked Hillary?

"Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made passionate love to me.

""My God, what did you tell them?" asked Hillary.

The driver replied, "I just stepped inside the door and said, ‘I’m Hillary Clinton’s driver and I’ve just killed the old cow.’ The rest happened so fast I couldn’t stop it."

    • Did I see this before? I guess you did do one before.

    • I guess you did not see this post before. If you had, you wouldn’t have whined (without the benefit of offering any cheese, even!) about being left out. ;)

Don’t worry, I’ll forget the whole incident. Youth and forgetfulness goes hand-in-hand with age-and-senility. Then again, late nights for new and re-new Daddy’s are hard on the mind, too. Yes, I do remember those nights from long, long, long ago.

    • Why didn’t YOU remind me when I whined? I think you planted this story recently, to assuage your guilty conscience. :O

    • @TheRealDeal
Dude, you’re losing it. Go check Google’s history for it. ;)

LOL. Geez, you gave me a helluva laugh for this early in the morning! Speaking of which, what am I doing up — and with my eyes open and working this early? Got me beat.

Guilty conscience? LOL. You really do crack me up, man. hahaha. Thanks for the laugh.

Why didn’t I remind you? Case in point: it was posted eight months ago. Think I remember things I did eight months ago in real life? Please don’t tell me that you expect me to remember everything I write, for this blog, any other blog I write for, things I write for myself, all the emails I write (including back-and-forth to you — when you find time these days, Daddy-O), and remember that I gave you a hat tip? LOL. I wish I had a memory like that.

My question to you, my friend, is why did you not find this eight months ago? Do you not run your name and online moniker through Google once a month or so? hhhmmmmm.

    • Sure, try to hold me accountable for my own actions and inactions. I happen to know that personal responsibility was repealed 5 years ago, so nothing is ever my fault any more. Therefore, you are to blame for whatever I feel like blaming you for.

    • You caught me. Holding you accountable. I know, I know, my age is showing, right? Attempting to hold someone accountable for their actions in 21st Century America. Horrors!

Since you finally saw the light, admit to your err and we will put this behind us. Well, a cup of coffee will settle all punitive damages. ;)

    • See, you admit your guilt by saying I caught you. I’ll let you off with a warning this time, but I better never catch you again.

    • I admit my guilt of not being politically correct. In fact, I’ll go further, good sir (sir? You?! haha!) and admit I am one of the most vocal anti-PC people you likely ever will see or meet.

Going along with being against politial correctness, I also believe in holding people accountable for their actions, something most people have forgotten about. It seems many people like to blame their grade school teachers from 20+ years ago; blame their parents for whatever deficiencies they have in their lives; and God only knows who else they blame for the rest of life’s woes.

Oops, I did it again! I mentioned God! Horror of horrors.
