Let the sun shine in with Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble

In the 1960s, most children and teenagers knew — or watched — one of the most popular cartoons of all time: The Flintstones, produced by [1] Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Fred and Wilma Flintstone, a most unlikely of pairs, and their neighbors, Barney and Betty Rubble, often had laughs, but they had to content with real life, too, albeit in the cartoon era in the Town of Bedrock, where from worked atop a dinosaur’s back, hauling out loads of rock from Mr. Slate’s quarry.

As with many married couples, Fred and Wilma and Barney and Betty, both had children. Fred and Wilma brought a red-headed daughter, Pebbles, into the pre-historic world, and the Barney and Betty saw the birth of a Superman-like son, Bamm-Bamm, a boy who was strong enough at birth to lift the obstetrician by the index finger and “BAM BAM!” him several times up and down on the floor.

As Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm aged, they took on a variety of childhood activities, but one of the fondest memories of their childhood for viewers, it seems, was their big break into singing. That’s right, the cartoon child duo took to singing into clamshells and were a big hit. Here’s a video. Enjoy.
