A good photo says it all

They say a photo is worth a thousand words. What about photos that express more than words? What about photos that reach down, into the pit of your heart, that grab your emotions, and make you feel joy or happiness?
Are photos that convey gut-wrenching emotion worth more than one thousand words? I’m not the judge of that, but you can be.
I found a photo on Troop Space, an online community for and about the American military community, as well as those who support the military community. As a veteran, yes, I support the troops to the nth degree. I cannot — nor will not — support the Commander-In-Cockamamie, er, President George W. Bush, especially in light of all his well-documented lies.
Back to the issue at-hand: the military community.
While browsing through some profiles on the site, I found a photo in a post on Hard Core Coastie Wife’s Troop Space page that ripped my heart from my chest.
In introducing the photo, Hard Core Coastie Wife wrote:
I found this picture on the Internet, and when I saw it, my stomach just sank. It almost made me cry. It really makes you realize the sacrifices that military families make. I just wanted to share it with all of you.
That photo, which I’ve not been able to track to an original photographer to give credit to, is shown below:

While you’re over at Troop Space, be sure to register there. Show your support for the American military community.
