Philadelphia cop killer nabbed in vacant building

May 8, 2008 at 2:06 pm (EDT)

The last Philadelphia Police Sergeant Steven LiczbinskiEric DeShawn Floyd, the last of three suspects believed to have killed Philadelphia Police Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, has been captured, then handcuffed with the handcuffs formerly belonging to Sgt. Liczbinski. Floyd is now resting, most hopefully, uncomfortably in a cell here in Philadelphia.

Like the typical, non-thinking, most likely illiterate criminal he was, Eric DeShawn Floyd was found hiding in a dilapidated, boarded-up house in Southwest Philadelphia, hiding like a trapped rat. At the time the police were tipped off to his location, Eric DeShawn Floyd was sound asleep on the floor of the vacant house with his girlfriend, who was also arrested, for aiding a fugitive. Her name has not yet been released by police, but both will be facing a long laundry list of charges.

Philadelphia’s new mayor, Michael Nutter, was at the Philadelphia Police Headquarters, affectionately known as the “Roundhouse” by older Philadelphians, and greeted Floyd when he arrived there late last night. According is quoted in an article in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer as saying:

“I looked him dead in the eye when he came in,” he said. “I told him how disappointed I was in him. He will face prosecution and of course pay a price for what he did.”

Like cowardly bandits from the days of the Wild West, Eric DeShawn Floyd, unarmed, hiding, and on-the-run, sought refuge in a building that was boarded up, staying in a second floor bedroom. It’s a glorious thing when the Philadelphia Police are able to continue the tradition of nabbing cop killers before the deceased officer’s funeral, and a great slap in the face for the cop killers when they are handcuffed using the cuffs belonging to the police officer that was killed.

Howard Cain was one of three men who, dressed in Muslim garb, robbed a local grocery store. Later, after being pursued and stopped by Philadelphia Police Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski, killed the officer with an SKS, a Chinese-made version of an assault rifle used by the Soviet Army in pre-WWII days. Cain was killed by police when they attempted to apprehend him. / Philadelphia Police Dept. photoIn other good news relating to the scumbags who killed Sgt. Liczbinski, it was reported in the Philadelphia Daily News that the dead member of the cop-killing trio, Howard Cain, will not be afforded a Muslim burial at the Philadelphia’s Germantown Masjid.

“No, we will not bury him at Germantown Masjid,” said Tariq El Shabazz, managing director of the mosque. “We don’t want one slight scintilla hinting that we condone his behavior.”

Another suspect, local heavyweight boxer Levon Warner, was arrested in Philadelphia this past Sunday.
