First snow … and yes, people forget how to drive — again

At 7:17 a.m., it was 30° here in the Far Northeast section of Philadelphia. With the wind chill factor figured in, it felt like 26° on the skin. The dog and I both loved the temperature, as we both like cooler air.
Despite hopeful weather reports yesterday, there was only 1/10″ of snow on the ground this morning, with light snow falling in parts of the region during the morning’s rush hour commute. Yep, you guess it: it caused some problems out on the roadways for some drivers, sadly enough.
This was the first snowfall that could be measured, according to local news outlets. The National Weather Service said this is the sixth latest first snowfall of the season in Philadelphia. For some people, I guess they would have liked to have gone all winter without snow. For that, though, they need to move elsewhere, such as Qa’tar. If you live in the Delaware Valley, you know it’s going to snow — at some point. It’s a fact of life.
