Cold January morning in Philly

January 19, 2007 at 9:46 am (EST)

Sunrise on a cold January morning

At 6:53 a.m. on January 17, 2007, it was 17 degrees Fahrenheit in Far Northeast Philadelphia. It was one of the coldest, if not the coldest morning, so far this winter, in Philadelphia. Burrrr. Well, I liked it, but then again, my dog and I both like the cold. Snow is supposedly on its way, too.

This is looking Eastward, toward New Jersey. In fact, it’s only about two miles, at most, to the New Jersey shore line on the other side of the Delaware River from this vantage point. Living on this side of the Delaware River is the best option for me. I never want to live in New Jersey.

According to the weather forecast yesterday morning, when I shot the picture, snow was a “maybe” in the forecast. Today, though, at 3:30 p.m., I was told snow was falling. I will check that out later.
