Idaho has a problem that is becoming a problem for the rest of the country: Senator Larry Craig, the guy who tried to solicit an undercover cop to engage in homosexual sex in a bathroom in the Minneapolis airport.

As a result of Larry Craig’s lying after signing a statement of guilt, new walls are being erected in the men’s room at the airport. While it will stop, what’s described as a "sexual invitations," from users of the latrine, it may now make a more private sex room for those actually engaging in sex in the bathroom, not just trying to hit up the cop in the next stall.

Whether Larry Craig is gay, bi-sexual, or whatever, is immaterial. At this point, he’s proven himself untrustworthy. As a member of Congress, the senator from Idaho ought be held to higher standards than those of the general public. In fact, his constituents in his senate district ought be crying foul, demanding the lying sack of manure leave office, as promised.

Craig, another one of those people who seem to get into public office and don’t ever want to leave — why should he? He can commit crimes, hide them, and most of the time, lie to get them handled secretly. When caught, waste the taxpayers’ money — and time — on issues of a Senate Ethics Committee hearing that will determine whether he ought be removed.

If Larry Craig had half the decency he claims to have, he would have left office on or before September 30, as he’s said in the past.

Idaho’s governor, C.L. "Butch" Otter, has let it be known publicly he’s already found a replacement for Sen. Larry Craig’s seat in Washington.

"He is ready to act should we receive a letter of resignation," said Jon Hanian, Otter’s spokesman. The comment from Hanian is seen by many to be a signal from Otter that the home-state Idaho Republicans want Craig to leave office now, without further delay, a seat he’s held now for 17 years.

You have to wonder how many other bathroom stalls the lying senator has frolicked with or in over the years, huh?
