For women, race matters when it comes to sleep

When it comes to sleep disorders, and in this case, specifically sleep apnea, it seems a woman’s race comes into play.

It seems the human body has some kind of misfiring in black women, as compared to a group of white women, when it comes to obstructive sleep apnea, a potentially life-threatening disorder.

Results of a study about the racial issue among white women and black women, in terms of how common sleep apnea is in the two groups, is posted on a blog I maintain about sleep and sleep-related disorders, .
