Suggestions for Barack Obama while in Iraq and Afghanistan

July 19th, 2008

While you and I are sitting at home, enjoying all the creature comforts, American fighting men and women are in distant lands, including Afghanistan and Iraq, sweating their butts off, literally, while going on patrols, doing raids, and other duties, and their performance – or responses – could be the difference between life-and-death.

As for Sen. Barack Obama, the presumed Democratic presidential candidate who is doing a tour of specific areas in Afghanistan and Iraq, supposedly getting a first-hand look at the situation on the ground, things are much different. His environment will be hot, sandy, dirty, but secure, for the most part. Because Obama, like McCain and others during past trips, are members of Congress, the military will provide a shroud around the “dignitaries” – ensuring, to the best of their ability, the survival of the elected officials, even at the expense of service men and women.

Obama listening to people in Kentucky, Florida, and Michigan

May 21st, 2008

While Hillary Clinton focuses on staying in the 2008 presidential race as long as possible, meaning as long as she and former president and husband Bill Clinton, can afford to make loans to her campaign, Barack Obama is busy personally answering calls from concerned voters in Kentucky, Florida, and Michigan.

Although votes were counted in Kentucky last night without issue, many people there still have questions about Barack Obama and his intentions, especially as they relate to the Blue Grass state.

Obama didn’t care enough to stay in PA

April 23rd, 2008

Last night’s glaring ending to the six-week Pennsylvania primary election was proof enough that Sen. Barack Hussein Obama never cared about Pennsylvania; intended his inflammatory comments as many around the country interpreted them; and just “wants to get on with the game” of the election.

Obama, Obama, Osama, Obama. Oops.

February 6th, 2008

Barack Obama has one of those names that just doesn’t roll off my tongue. No amount of practice will make that happen, it seems. In an effort to try to make his name one of those one the tip of my tongue names, I even tried using the tune from Louie Louie, a classic rock and roll song, written in 1955 by Chuck Berry, singing, Obama, Obama, but what happened next, most likely predictable, especially in this day and age, things changed.

As I sang the self-created lyrics in an effort to get Obama’s name a familiar roll on my tongue, the words, Obama, Obama … yeah, Obama, Obama became, eerily enough, Obama, Obama … Osama, Obama.
