Hispanics don’t want immigration laws enforced, study finds
The Pew Hispanic Center, one of the Pew Research organizations, released a report back in September that I just came across as a result of re-reading a quote from back in 2000 from Bill Richardson.
The study, with a summary published on the Pew Hispanic Center’s site under the headline, “Hispanics See Their Situation in U.S. Deteriorating; Oppose Key Immigration Enforcement Measures”, seems to point out, without stating the fact, that the majority of people interviewed for opinions for the study were illegal aliens from Mexico or other Central or South American country.
Let the hipsters worry about it
It seems some five million of our oldest, as well as disabled, citizens, have not yet signed up for their Medicare Part D drug plan. To help them, what does Congress do? Decide to not grant them an extension.
Remember, the folks who qualify for Medicare are people who are old, who have paid into the system, and in many cases, confused by all the rhetoric of “the plan” the government is pushing.
As for the comic, here’s a hat tip to my friend, Stan M., for passing it along. The comic seems, sadly enough, to sum up the situation for many of our country’s oldest and most disabled.
