USS Kennedy goes into mothballs at Philly
The deactivated US Navy aircraft carrier, the USS John F. Kennedy, is on the final leg of its journey to storage. Well, to a storage yard, anyway.
It seems the Navy, using a tugboat to tow the decommissioned boat along the East Coast. Weather issues, though, which don’t seem to impede active duty ships (fortunately!), have slowed the ship’s journey to Philly. It should arrive, according to the Navy, on Saturday, being pulled up the Delaware Bay and into the Delaware River this Friday afternoon.
