Nero MoveIt does file sync, transfer regardless of format

November 21st, 2008

A few years ago, it seems like all the teenagers and 20-somethings had the camera phones, MP3 players, and other accessories for carrying photos, videos, and music. Looking around today, though, it seems everyone has a camera phone, as well as other accessories and tools.

Keeping your media library — regardless of file format — synchronized with each other, or even just backed up to prevent loss of a great collection of tunes can be a pain.

A stroll down pre-tech memory lane

September 23rd, 2008

Long before cell phones, MP3 players, CDs and DVDs, laptops, and home theaters, life was simple. There were wax records that were played on record players; notebooks and steno books for taking notes; and black-and-white television and the dear old radio, especially the ever-popular AM stations!

So much for that job …

August 11th, 2008

Below is a joke sent to me by a friend, Stan (aka Stan the Man), an alum at my alma mater who is old enough to be my father, or on a bad day, an older brother.

Stan’s a good guy. He likes to keep busy in real life, and when he isn’t busy, you can tell: he sends tens of email messages, some with photos, some with jokes, others with videos or PowerPoint presentations, and some, well, they have a subject line warning you of “how bad” the content may be, starting with a rating of R, if I recall a message from months ago correctly. You have to appreciate someone who is willing to tag potentially “offensive” messages in the subject line – whether for your own preferences or due to workplace restrictions.

Two dead teen girls on the beach, but fun never stopped

July 21st, 2008

After giving up on lifesaving efforts, the lifeguards covered each of the girls’ bodies with a beach towel out of respect for the dead. The feet and ankles of both girls poked from under the beach towels, a testament to two young lives snuffed out.

Within feet of the girls’ bodies, folks went about sunbathing and other beach antics as normal, ignoring the two dead bodies.

The reason behind the long morning commute

April 3rd, 2008

Did you ever wonder if a conspiracy was in place to keep you and the hundreds of others around you each morning on the roadways from getting to work each morning?

A good photo says it all

March 12th, 2008

They say a photo is worth a thousand words. What about photos that express more than words? What about photos that reach down, into the pit of your heart, that grab your emotions, and make you feel joy or happiness?
