Lieberman cranks up Dubya’s old terror attack propaganda machine

June 30th, 2008

It seems Sen. Joe Lieberman (Independent-Connecticut) is firing up President George W. Bush’s dusty old propaganda machine used to make Americans worry more than necessary about a potential terror attack.

In the case of Lieberman, a guy who’s unsuccessfully sought a seat in the White House in the last two presidential elections (2000 and 2004), using fear tactics in hopes of boosting support for the candidate he is supporting on the November Presidential ballot: Sen. John McCain (Republican-Arizona).

Obama listening to people in Kentucky, Florida, and Michigan

May 21st, 2008

While Hillary Clinton focuses on staying in the 2008 presidential race as long as possible, meaning as long as she and former president and husband Bill Clinton, can afford to make loans to her campaign, Barack Obama is busy personally answering calls from concerned voters in Kentucky, Florida, and Michigan.

Although votes were counted in Kentucky last night without issue, many people there still have questions about Barack Obama and his intentions, especially as they relate to the Blue Grass state.

Another politico bites the dust

May 20th, 2008

The latest politician caught in the adulterous web is the six-term Rep. Vito Fossella (R-NY), who was nabbed by police in Alexandria, Virginia, just after midnight on May 1.

Can Obama really cure all America’s ails? Or is it ales?

May 15th, 2008

Imagine someone you know going into a coma tomorrow. With the November 2008 Presidential election several months off, they’d have no idea the outcome when they wake from the coma, if ever.

Trying to remain eternally optimistic, though, let’s suppose that person wakes from the coma in 2015, about seven years from now. Can you imagine what a different world it could be?

McCain’s straight talk about home loans is on-target

March 28th, 2008

McCain scored a point with me when he said that no emergency bailout should be made to the people who obtained these mortgages. His opponents, though, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, have made comments in the recent past that some kind of “help” ought be made available to the people with these mortgages. My question to Clinton and Obama would be: “Why? Are you looking at rewarding bad and irresponsible behavior?”
