Nero Burning ROM version 9  has just been released, about a year after the release of Nero 8.

Nero 9 introduces some new features and enhancements, such as a new graphical user interface, hi-def support, and improvements to the old Nero backup tool, making improvements to its auto-backup capabilities and protection of data.

I’ve been using Nero since Nero 5, and while Nero 8 didn’t bring much in the way of features, and though most people complained about it, Nero 9 has brought back some smiles, at least to me.

You can save your data, files, and music (mp3 or other formats), and videos by using Nero’s CD/DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD Burning capabilities. Can you think of a better way to enjoy, not to mention share all your favorites with friends and family anywhere, anytime, in any format?

Nero 9 has a clean, easy-to-use interface and gives a nice punch as a multimedia suite to offer users the ability to create, rip, copy, burn
, edit, share, and upload music, photos, videos, and photoshows online. It’s faster than some previous editions of Nero, and is ready for some serious action.

Some of the other features in Nero 9 include:

  • Author and Playback AVCHD, and Blu-ray discs
  • backup all or selected parts of your content to an external hard drive, server, CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray Discs
  • Create music mixes like a professional DJ
  • Create professional-looking DVD movies, complete with 3-D menus on-the-fly using built-in tools
  • Fast-and-easy rip-and-burn capabilities
  • Handy “copy” functions
  • Quick photo and video upload to My Nero, YouTube, and MySpace
  • Watch, record, pause, and customize live TV experience (if you have the appropriate hardware)

Download a trial copy of Nero Burning ROM version 9 today — for PCs and Linux! — and give it a try. You may end up replacing your old CD, DVD, and backup software with a new tool.
